WHY VIGILANT?

Are you at risk for a severe low? Do you know your daily patterns of highs and lows? If you have diabetes, Vigilant can give you valuable insights about where your blood glucose levels may be heading.

Vigilant uses pattern recognition technology that has been developed over 10+ years by scientists, clinicians and people with diabetes. This technology allows you to make full use of your collected data on your smartphone. It tells you about upcoming daily patterns, when you check your blood glucose, and also provides glanceable summaries of glucose control.

Vigilant’s features include:

• Alerting you to risk of severe lows in the next 24 hours
• Notifying you about upcoming daily patterns of highs, lows, variability (frequent swings) and gaps in testing
• Providing glanceable summaries of diabetes control

Vigilant also integrates with HealthKit so data can be analyzed from other HealthKit-integrated apps.

HOW IS VIGILANT DIFFERENT?

Most diabetes management apps provides simple logbooks and graphs or basic statistics that can be time consuming to analyze or hard to decipher. They may not answer important questions about where you have persistent patterns, or when you might be in a period of heightened risk.

Vigilant answers these questions and more in a simple way with no additional devices or hassle, and all we need is your glucose readings. If you are connected to a wireless meter, all of your data can be collected automatically by Vigilant, every time you check your blood glucose. All you have to do is look at your phone when you receive notifications, whether its when you are checking your blood glucose or when you are on the go.

HOW CAN VIGILANT DO THIS?

This is all possible because of the strong scientific basis for Vigilants pattern recognition technology. This pattern recognition technology has been evaluated in numerous studies published in peer-reviewed medical journals. Vigilant patterns have been applied to diverse datasets of hundreds of people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and shown to be indicative of periods of risk for low or high blood glucose levels. Vigilant has also been studied in a home use setting and been shown to provide useful information.

INTENDED USE

Vigilant is intended for people with diabetes aged 13 or older who take multiple injections of insulin each day or use insulin pumps.
